chrome

I haven't found anything on a search, so does anyone know or heard of someone reproducing the deluxe chrome strips on the fancy 47-55.1 trucks and burbs? I am talking about the 3 strips on the sides.

Re: chrome

Are you talking about the strips on the fenders?

Re: chrome

That pretty well be the going price for repro sets. The AD truck trinket vendors usually price most parts at the same prices although there are one or two who ask a bit more. It's shipping costs that really vairy between the vendors.

Used sets usually have an asking price of over 1000 and more yet if they have been restored and are perfect.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: chrome

My build is going to be pretty flashy. I thought about putting them on my 53 3100 if they fit. Any opinions on how they look? I'm a long way from that point myself.

Re: chrome

I like them. I think they add an incredible amount of class to any truck.

Re: chrome

I'd have to say that just as any other exterior or interior add on piece they have to blend in and be a cohesive part of the complete build and not look stuck on as an afterthought.

Simply meaning that just like sun visors the burb trim pieces work best with wide whites and hubcaps and not big billets.
