Re: Squarebody Fuel tanks?

The tanks can be put on both sides. But it depends on the sending lock rings if the have a universal set up yes. But it there set up left or right then no. Because lines will face the wrong way and you will have to run long rubber gas lines to hook up hard lines.

Re: Squarebody Fuel tanks?

The tanks are identical, but the sending units are different for each side,so that the connectors point in the right direction.

Also make sure you get a sending unit with the right number of port connections. A two port sending unit has no place to attach a return line, if your fuel pump has a return line you should have it properly connected to the sending unit and to a six port tank solenoid. Allowing fuel to return to the tank when the float shuts off the flow will help ensure you don't get vapor lock, or other issues from fuel getting too hot.

Re: Squarebody Fuel tanks?

Tanks should be swappable left and right. Double check hose pipe sizes and baffles(if needed for FI). Just replaced a tank on my dual tank 75. As already mentioned, you need to get the correct sender for side(driver/passenger) and number of connections.
