68 327cid for sale long block DFW $450

The number on the block is :3914660 which is a 327 from 1968. When I bought my truck it came with this motor and was supposedly rebuilt. Due to wiring issues it was never started.

Heads do look like they were rebuilt, spring, valves and retainers all look like new.

Pistons have no build up on them. I can barely see some cross hatch in the cyclinders but I did turn the motor over for a good 5-10 mins at various times trying to get it to run.

There is a ridge at the top of the cyclinder? Maybe the rebuilder did not hone that out?

I am trying to be as honest as possible here that's why I pulled the heads off for inspection.

I think $450 is a good price for all this considering a nice 327 longblock. You will pay that much at a junk yard...

For a run down here is what you get:
327 rebuilt shortblock
rebuilt heads not bolted on
all valve train and lifters, pushrods
oil pan and pump
fuel pump
water pump
alt
starter
old 4 barrel intake
holly carb (needs new accel pump)
electronic dizzy with coil on top of cap
spark plugs
exhaust manifolds and Y pipe

COME GET IT!!!
Motor is at 190 and Jupiter, feel free to call me at 972-530-1355 - Taylor

I have a question...?

Is there a number stamped into the head mounting surface on the passenger side, on the front edge, just above the fuel pump? If so. What are the numbers? I may be interested...

well...

I'm looking for a v1220yh code... it tells you the producion plant and date. these are the numbers that will match your Protec-o-plate or build sheet. I think the block I'm looking for will be a early '67. V= flint, mich 12= dec 20=20th day YH= Turbo-Hydro trans w/ AC... I think.... oh well... not really an important thing unless your restoring or just want to spend the rest of your life looking for the impossible, when you could just re-stamp these numbers in if the other casting numbers are correct... oh well.... see ya.
