What power can my rear end hold?
Hey guys i'm curious if my HO72 can handle high horse application. It's not gonna be a race truck but from what i'm thinking it's gonna have some nasty torque in the neighborhood of 600 or so, cant tell because conventional engine speccing isnt too good fro what i'm doing. Anyways got my good old eaton and i dont really wanna swap it out if i dont have to.
Could this rear hold about 700/700? thanks.

I wouldn't be afraid. That's a heck of a beefy axle. Just make sure you have enough fluid in it and good seals!

That H072 will eat it up and ask for more!
They do tend to leak out the bottom (at least mine does..), so do make sure you have enough oil in there.

Wondering the same thing today!
That is a good question, i am also going to have to face the same situation in the future. MY cadd has like +400lbs of torque. Would i have to get a new rear end? It is the stock one wheel drive 12 bolt. I do intend to get a posi, most likely from a junkyard, any recommendations? But before i can afford that, would my present rearend be good.
