Wilwood D52 calipers to tight with ece rotors

1969 C10, I'm almost done rebuilding the chassis and suspension and now my new Wilwood D52 calipers are tight to my early classic rotors after bleeding the brakes. I can turn the rotor without a wheel on ( by hand ) but its not right.

Called Wilwood yesterday about another small issue with caliper alignment and the guy said I was basically at max or very near max width for the caliper.

Caliper loaded with pads had day light all around without fluid in the new lines. Alignment of calipers was/ is good.

Not 100% of part numbers but believe the following is correct.
Calipers 120-10936

Early Classic Enterprises 6 lug disc converision hub rotor

With some cheap calipers I got 1.286" rotor width. My calipers claim a 1.280" max width. Seems about right... I can turn the rotors just a little interference though.

Should I machine 0.010" off each brake pad and call it a day? If I had a mill at home I would just do it and be done but I dont so I can ask your opinion first

Thanks

I would run them as is. If the rotors can be turned by hand a few 40-0 hard stops for break in will most likely give you the clearance you desire.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
