66 under bench questions- tire jack and sound

I removed everything from the cab to restore it and now Im looking into adding some speakers under the bench vs the tire jack. The tire jack that was in my truck looks like its damaged anyway and I would need to both find a replacement and possibly relocate it. Ive got the gas tank in the cab so I wouldnt have a bunch of room.

If I add the sound system I am thinking under the bench I would need to find a place for my replacement jack I think. The speaker system is the custom auto sound under cover II that has two speaker boxes at 11"W x 12.5"D x 3"H.

Anyone dealt with this and found a good tire jack replacement and location?.

If you don't have the optional, bigger gas tank, you could place the jack and bracket on passenger side where the cab floor slopes down to the cab corner that is right in line with the tank

That's what I did. I bought the smallest bottle jack at the Mega store, brought it home, tried it out, put it back in its' box and dropped it right there. Then I made an insulated cover for the space out heavy duty carboard which I painted flat black. The carboard got a bit frayed now because I've had to yank it out of there a few times while working on my interior. It's just kind of squeezed in and the weatherstrip used to cover the edge.

Here is what it looked like when I removed the bench years back. The jack wasnt even complete. I like the bottle jack idea, I hope to find one that fits the space that has the jack stand v groove post tip look vs circular post tipped. Ill be carpeting the interior this go round.

Yeah, looks like 50 years worth of filth alright. The jack isn't even the factory one anyhow.

Wow thats great to know they did a bottle jack style too. Only its a rotary crank type vs hydraulic? Those bumper jacks seem dicey and easy to dent/scratch up a bumper. I have all the parts in this pic except the jack, jack handle and tire iron.
