cross member
Hi All
I have been doing a engine and transmission swap in my 65 SWB C10 (454 & turbo 350) and I am getting ready to install the engine and trans. The question is I have read that the cross member that supported the manual transmission/mount should be removed. Can anyone tell me if this true or point me in the right direction. Thanks |

Re: cross member
You should remove the cross member that was holding the transmission bell housing.

Re: cross member
Yes, when switching from a manual to an automatic, the manual trans mount crossmember needs to be removed. The auto won't fit with the crossmember still there
