Cargo anchor points in the bed?
i am looking for some kind of anchor points for the floor or walls of the bed of my '57 that dont look like they belong on a utility trailer. im not going to be hauling any serious cargo but i would like to be able to strap down a cooler or some luggage on long trips (Hot Rod Power Tour 2015). let me know what you guys use!

Re: Cargo anchor points in the bed?
I haven't used these, but have thought about them. Being recessed and stainless steel these would be the ticket for a wood bed.
A set of two runs $45.00 from motorcycle mail order house Dennis Kirk.

Re: Cargo anchor points in the bed?
Those would do the job but to me they still look like they would be more at home on a utility trailer rather than a classic truck. Just my opinion.
I found this online but when I called BedWood today, the lady had no idea what I was talking about. I also could not find this product on there website. I'm at a loss... http://www.semashow.com/press/2012/1...curing-d-rings |

Not my truck but I've saved this photo since the Brothers Show in 2013. I think it's a simple solution that looks clean. Obviously, you want to use a stainless eye bolt so it won't rust

I agree this is a simple solution. I might have to look into that before I take the journey to Long Beach, WA this Sept for the Rod Run To The End Of The World. Thanks for sharing |

Re: Cargo anchor points in the bed?
You can recess sections of L track in your bed, but it would take some fab work.

Re: Cargo anchor points in the bed?
weld a nut to a flat plate, screw it to the underside of the bed wood right under a predrilled hole. then screw a lifting eye through the hole into the plate when you need a tie down. that way you only see the hole in the wood or a nice little plug bolt you can screw in for decoration.
just a thought but it might work. |

Re: Cargo anchor points in the bed?
I buy a lot of my stainless pieces for my boats from this outfit. Great prices and nice stuff. Some of their deck tie downs for boats might have a more appealing look. http://www.marinepartdepot.com/new316ststcl2.html

I've been considering 4 of these in the bed to tie stuff down...
