Fire ball for engine compartment

What do you think about a fire ball type device for engine compartment fire protection? Perhaps mount it in place of or next to the A/C vacuum ball or on the under side of the hood?

There is Elide brand that claims patent and to be the original dry fire extinguisher type, and several knock off brands like AFG and AFO. Non-toxic, eco friendly and all that jazz.

They supposedly are flame activated, not heat activated.

First I've ever heard of them. Smart, especially if you are using a leaky gas filter.
