You know, I actually did that on the passenger side but when I moved on the the drivers side I discovered the ball joint spacer was a perfect fit. I didn't feel like disassembling the passenger side so I left it as is! Lol! Also, of note, the spacers have to go on the front of the crossmember. My 1st attempt was on the rear but I discovered that the coil over didn't line up with the mounting holes on the control arm.
