Question Truck's History

I'm thinking about painting a logo of some sorts on the side of my truck.

I think it would be cool to find the original owner or company that used the truck, to have their logo on the truck.

So this is a huge shot in the dark, but does everyone know anything on this truck, or can help to get in the right direction?

What I found so far:
picture of my truck when it just got to The Netherlands:

sticker on the front windshield:

So off of that I know its in the San Francisco/ San Jose area.

I've also found a really close looking shortbed C10 that was for sale in 2017 in the same area: http://classiccardb.com/chevrolet/29...nia-truck.html

that truck was originally sold in St Helena CA to a vineyard, so that would be a bit more north.

If anybody knows anything, i'd like to hear it.
Thanks!

Re: Truck's History

Cool idea. Are there other things make you think that it was used in some sort of a company or commercial fleet? I would consider having whatever you decide on printed on vinyl so that it is removable. That way, you can change it every once in awhile if you like. I grabbed the county's logos in color and black and white. That would be an idea if there wasn't a commercial logo you wanted to go with. They have a Facilities and Fleet department and you could add that or something else underneath the logo. Transportation and Hauling. European Relations, Vintage Cargo Services, haha. You get the idea. Tell us what you decide to do.

Re: Truck's History

@LT7A,
I have no idea if it was actually owned by a company or anything. I just assumed someone with a company or farm or something like that is most likely to buy a new C20 back in the 70's.

Vinyl might be the best option, at least to see if I like it eventually.

Thanks for thinking with me, If I decide on doing anything I will post it.

Re: Truck's History

I see. Actually, here in the States, most pickups are owned by private citizens, even the C20s. I don't know as much about the year of your truck, but later in the 70s and into the 80s general motors sold nearly a million pickup trucks per year. So odds are high that it was owned by a private person for their use. With that sticker saying that they were a mountain resident of the county adds to the idea that it was probably privately owned. It's a neat truck and a color that I don't see often.
