side marker light lens

On a new Resto 72 super, I have replaced some side marker lenses twice in a year. The little chrome trim pieces keep disappearing. They all seem to be poorly glued on. I have popped some off and reglued. Is anyone aware of a better quality lamp out there. It seams the ones I have purchased are very poor quality.

hi,i haven't found a solution, any better than what you're talking about.GM NOS are great but hard to find and expensive, you get what you pay for?i had a few sets,in the box with the stainless molding off or ready to fall off.like you,i started mixing up some 5 minute epoxy and with a toothpick,re-applying some epoxy on the backside of the stainless trim and putting them back on,only a touch as you don't want to squish out from under the trim.i realize that's only putting a band-aid on the problem but unless someone knows of a better product,i don't know what the answer is?

I think we re-glued all of the ones on mine for the same reason. Might be best to do it straight out of the box rather than waiting for them to fly off on the road.
