85 A/C Questions

Hi..

Im redoing alot of stuff on my 85C20 and the a/c may soon be one of them What im wondering is how well do other 81-87 owners with the pancake compressor

A/C system work I remember when these trucks were new they were CoLD! But Im not gonna spend big bucks on R-12 So its R-134A I Had converted a 72 with the long harrison compressor and it got down ,

I have bought a new orifice and plan on getting a new compressor and dryer , As well as all O rings
I Am also putting in the pressure switch off an 89 for the sealed electric connections and it supposedly has a lower pressure wich would be more suited for R-134A

So What Im Asking Is Any Suggestions / Sucess Storys/ Horror Storys

I can get my hands on R-12 but so far ive had good luck with R-134A And Big Lots Has it On Sale For 2.49 a can
