What rear ended swaps are you guys using

Anyone got any tips on rear ended swaps ?

My 70 2WD was a factory 6 cylinder truck

coil or leaf? What do you want to achieve. 5 lug? Disc brakes?

There are a ton of options. I had Currie build me a bolt in 9".

If you want disc brakes, use a late model rear rear end that has it from the factory. Don't use after market rear disc kits on an old diff as they are an afterthought and most will cause issues or poor performance.

I just swapped a semi float 14 bolt in my four wheel drive

The ‘70 housing should be same width as the ‘71-‘72. So you can buy brake drums and axles for one of those trucks and easily convert yours to 5 lug if that is the goal.

Not all 70 housings are same width. Early production was same as 69 and prior. Not sure when the changeover was....probably in 1st/2nd quarter or so of 1970.
