Wire Puzzle

I needed to replace a drive belt on my vintage JVC KS-F100 cassette player. That job went well enough but in the process I managed to snap off 3 of the 5 wires from the control board to the relay board. They are red, black , and white. They solder to 3 spots on the lower right of the relay board labeled:
"L" "R" & "C". (see image). I'd guess Black to L, Red to R, and White to C. Anyone know for sure what the correct placement is?
