71/72 Am/FM radio question

When the light for the radio is on,does the am or fm label light up? I seen a YouTube video of one that had the Aurora update done and when he changed the slide bar from am to fm the letters were glowing green.

Re: 71/72 Am/FM radio question

Here are a couple of photos I took of an AM/FM radio I had a while back. I had replaced the missing FM label with a reproduction that was the wrong color. Both labels did light up though.

Re: 71/72 Am/FM radio question

Thanks. I have one that came with my 72 k10 project and it had a missed matched am/fm filter lens ( indicator) assuming one fell out and the previous owner put something that was close back in. I did stumble across some new reproduction ones that I bought awhile back. I just sent the radio and labels off to a guy who is going to restore it and install the Aurora up grade in it. I was watching some YouTube videos on the the up grade to the same radio and noticed the fm and am labels were showing a green light through them and I didn't know they did that. I'll have him look at the labels I sent him and see if they allow light through them or not. Wonder what color they were from the factory? I know the front display has a green tint .

I think they were green like the dim AM label in my first photo.

Kinda makes sense that they would look the same as the front number display.
