Re: Pretty decent looking 1977 Blazer Chalet-denver craigslist
Very interesting info, thank you. I was around 5 year old when these came out so I don't remember seeing them when new but we had a neighbor down the road move in that had one in the mid-late 80's. He was an auto painter so he had his K5 and Chalet camper painted a deep purple almost black. It was done really well but as a teenager I didn't like the non-original color and I also didn't understand why his K5 had a weird looking camper on it.
As I grew older I've realized how cool they are and how cool his K5 was. |

Nice one on Bring a Trailer. Not mine. I like the upholstery.

Re: Pretty decent looking 1977 Blazer Chalet-denver craigslist
Chalet #0414 built in 7/76. The plaid cloth upholstery is nicer than the factory original all-vinyl offering, but that's just it. It's a non-original reupholstery job done in 2016, so if buyers/bidders are thinking they are getting something original, they will be disappointed. Back when it was being eBay auctioned in 2016 by a Boise dealer who was also accepting offers at his dealership, one person alerted me to how the dealer wanted to include a spare engine because the original had a knock problem, but the guy balked at the purchase because he wanted a collector-value one with a numbers-matching engine. Afterward, when a different guy emailed me through the BlazerChalet website contact address that he had bought it, I replied by asking if the knock problem was solved. About an hour and a half later, the new owner told me he was immediately sending it back.

0414 crossed the auction block again. This time a bit more of money.

Re: Pretty decent looking 1977 Blazer Chalet-denver craigslist
Saw that, one of the many other guys on the lookout for these alerted me to it. Prior owner had it for less than a year, would be nice if these could stay bought for longer periods of time. Chalet #1683 is yet another example, currently on ebay right now where it appears the current seller got it 4 years back, but his ebay history seems to indicate he's just a classic car dealer/flipper.

Re: Pretty decent looking 1977 Blazer Chalet-denver craigslist
A nonoriginal Chalet $12000. Not mine.
https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...645994704.html The k5 is located in gig harbor Washington. I got a 1984 k5 blazer with a 90 front clip and a 1976 chalet pop top camper on the back. I will not separate the camper from the k5. The k5 has a fuel injected tpi sbc out of a c4 vette, 700r4 trans and 3/4 ton axles with lockers an 5:13 gears. Runs and drives, it needs some tlc. Everything works in the back, it’s a 80s square body so it does have some rust and needs both rockers.
