Mystery part????

Just pulled the seat out of my 72 c10 and found this thing…absolutely no clue what it is. It had these foam pipe protectors on it and it’s painted silver but the rods themselves are definitely about as old as the truck. (approx 3/8” rod, 29.5” straight section and from the pivot bolt up, the bent sections measure 19”-8”-4”)

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Mystery part????

a lot of folks would put the foam on them to keep them from rattling. Mine had some very old heater hose or something of the sort.
