It doesn’t really surprise me to learn that the cab is the most expensive part of building a truck. The heavy presses to stamp out the sheet metal and the rest of the detail could add up. I like the look of all the GMC trucks, yes even the crackerbox. Ford also built big trucks like the N series and the Louisville, and like the GMC they were less money than a Mack or KW. But they would not stand up to the daily rigours of logging or other off road use.
