1972 Cheyenne Super SWB Restoration - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Decided to do one more! I bought this 72 Cheyenne Super about a year ago. and collected two pages of NOS Parts... the truck is mostly all factory original to include the SPID. optioned with the usual like air cond, power brake and steering, am radio, tinted glass, sliding rear glass and even rear leaf springs! but strangely no tilt.. my plans are a factory correct or as close as i can, body off restoration as it came from the factory with the exception of im adding tilt steering. im keeping the original colors orange/white two tone. and Parchment interior.
well im on my way to empty the wallet as they say!

yes sir i did.it's called 1972 Cheyenne Super coming apart to go back together.it's in the paint shop now.

kittle update 12/2/22 frame disassembled, sand blasted and painted a 60/40 or chassis black, all new steering and suspension. to include Moog steering components coil springs restored orig steering box, bushings. rear leaf springs, shackles, rear axle bearings, seals and all new brake components. All parts made in the USA... all while the disassembled body was at the painters.

yote, glad to hear that it is back in your posession! I was in the same boat when I was having my '72 painted as well... IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!! I am almost at the paint stage again for my dailly '86 now!... uuuhhhh oooohhhh!
