Re: Arkansas K10

Just went thru your entire build thread, awesome work! Is this the truck you want the belts done for? If so, I feel very honored! Looking forward to hearing back from you. I responded to your PM.

A/C system is looking great! Have you had much time to work on the truck?

Re: Arkansas K10

I salvaged the Cheyenne/Cheyenne Super rubber surround for the shifter and the girls at the upholstery shop sewed it in for me.

That looks awesome, how did they do that? I need to do the same with my original Cheyenne super carpet

I cut it out of the old carpet. Then I scraped the old carpet off the back of the rubber piece.

I installed the carpet in the truck and cut the hole, then located the rubber piece over it and located the holes. I put four screws through the carpet to hold the piece in place. I pulled the carpet out and took it to the upholstery shop and they sewed it in.

If you have the old carpet you could lay it over the new one and mark the hole with chalk.

Thanks Larry, I’ve been wanting new carpet but knew you can’t get it with that piece. Your truck is looking perfect!
