84 Survivor, 6 cyl Automatic

Decided to start a thread on the new to me (may 21 2021) 1984 Custom Deluxe. All original paint, interior, etc, some rust behind rear wheels, but
cab corners and rockers are excellent.
She's a sweet old girl, only 88,000 miles and a one owner original. Took me almost 3 months of waiting for executor of estate to decide on price and get it transferred.
Plan to keep her original, bigger tires/wheels, lots of TLC and CLEANING, buffing. Older gentleman was 94 when he passed and wasn't able to keep her up for the last several years.

I plan to post pictures as I make progress, I'm so excited to own this truck.
And I think I'm hooked on Squarebodies now.

Very nice. Going to enjoy watching you work/build it.

Re: 84 Survivor, 6 cyl Automatic

I'm going to start adding info and pictures of my changes and upgrades on the 84. Need to document for future reference.
Have some catching up to do because I haven't posted on this for 18 months.
I did start another thread on the bucket seats I installed, here is the link on that:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...highlight=1984.

One upgrade was a rebuilt carb, cost $280 from Guaranteed Carbs in Largo Fl. Exact match to the original 2 barrel varijet.

Before picture of AM radio, added AM-FM from FB Marketplace, $50. Plus 2 4x10 speakers behind the seats.

I'll be posting more in the near future.

Added a set of KYB gas-a just shocks this week.
Think the old shocks were originals. Pictures of old vs. new.
