Re: Need Spal fan recommendation

My swap is not the typical LS swap, rather it is a 454 BBC.. I installed an aluminum radiator along with the Derale twin 12" fan system. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/der-16927.

For control, I wired both fans through separate relays. One relay receives it's' "turn on" signal from a Derale controller with the sensor in the radiator.

The other fan's relay receives it's "turn on" signal from a switch mounted in the AC system drier. This switch allows the radiator fan to cycle only when the head pressure of the freon reaches a certain pressure, not every time the AC compressor cycles on.

I live in east Texas where the summer time temperatures very often reach triple digit numbers. This complete system totally cured all my overheating issues.
