LG, it's called the missing piece.
sorry, couldn't help myself. looks like a handy fella like yourself could make something like that. it would be nice to find an already made piece though. its probably called "trim connector" or something. like it's the only piece of trim on the truck. haha |

On my Suburban I used this. A friend told me its not from a truck. Possibly a car. The weird thing is that I had the same piece on my last truck.
