Re: Mongos AD

ill try to get some pics...right now the truck is covered up in my side shed...
ive got alot of boxes of parts for it that ive been collecting for yrs...
a little back story on the truck...i bought this truck (a 1955.1) when i was 15yrs old from a local car lot...
kid you not, the lot was called (Honest Franks used cars)
a short time after i got the truck i noticed the cab and bed started rubbing each other...
thats when i found the frame was nearly rusted completely in two...it had metal scab welded all over it holding it together
When i was about 18, and still driving the 57 IH, i thought it would be cool to have a 4x4 AD, so i bought a 67 rust bucket k20..did a frame swap ,but never finished the truck..i had it running and driving but not road worthy...
fast forward a lot of yrs and i was getting ready to start on this truck when the 57 IH resurection took precidence..
so ,i have a 55.1 that im going to be modding the front end to use the 5 bar grill...im building a tube chassis for it...it will have a flatout vett front end with 9in ford and 3 link out back...power will come from a LS3 and tr6060...
ive got the same rust issues everybody else has so im not looking forward to that part..

Subscribed.

Looking at the IH build now. Worked for a guy with a green one he bought new in early 60's. Brought back memories.
