Re: Rear end width change??

Following, mainly because I’m about to get a donor rear end to convert it to Posi and Disc Brakes.

Re: Rear end width change??

Had worn axles on my 71 K10 suburban.
I had installed cheater bearings.
When wreaking a 70 C10 suburban Axels were exactly the same.

Re: Rear end width change??

It changed mid production year in 1970. I had a very early model 70 that had the narrower rear, while my other 2 had the wider ones. When looking for parts I check since the later model 70 is the only ones with 6 lug in th wider width. Now I have a couple spare axles.
