Re: 1350 Drive Shaft

It's nice to have info on poor service to save other people wasting time and money. The last time I had a driveshaft made up locally it was done in a few days.

Re: 1350 Drive Shaft

I ordered front and rear driveshaft from Tom Woods and had no issues. I got a regular 1350 rear and a 1330 cv front. My dad paid more locally to get a 2wd shaft shortened then I paid for 1 of mine new shipped.

I was going to order 1 ton shafts from high angle, but he did not think the front would clear my 4l80e trans, so i decided to keep it simple.

Found out myself that ordering online was less expensive than local, even with shipping. With the manufacturing problems I have the savings will be erased and probably cost me more. Have yet to hear back from Caroliina Driveline on the shafts I purchased from them. Seems to be the way things go these days. Will Tom Woods be any better? Only experience will tell. I was told shipping from them would be in 24 hours so that is a plus.
BTW, a clearanced 1350 cv clears the 6L90 transmission in my truck fine.
