New gauge cluster with tach

I am going to be installing a new gauge cluster with 5K tach. My blazer does not currently have a tack, but it is the Taiwan reproduction of the OEM stock gauge cluster that I will be installing. Does anybody have a good advice before I start?

You should purchase the stand-alone tach harness. The separate tach harness is a very simple 2 wire. One wire connects to the negative terminal of the ignition coil. The other plugs into the fuse block in an IGN UNFUSED terminal.

Just saw that there is one for HEI. So I’m buying that harness since my Jimmy has been upgraded.

Use the preview post feature before posting. Has to do with how you hold your phone and take pics. I only use my phone for calls and texting. No problems with photos for me. Much easier to edit photos and post from the computer.

Re: New gauge cluster with tach

glad to see you painted your other gauge needles! nice work. So many people leave that step out and it becomes soooooo obvious that the tach is new.
