parking brake cable recomendation
for those of you who have done rear disc conversions using the caddy e brake calipers... what length brake cable did you use? I measured roughly 50 inches from the caliper to the cable hanger clip on the frame. is there a specific type cable that works better?

Re: parking brake cable recomendation
I will jump in here too for information. My rear brake is the Camaro kit offered on here.
I don't want to hijack this thread but maybe it is the same info? I am sure somebody has done this and completed the final piece. Thanks, Dave

Re: parking brake cable recomendation
When I did the rear c5 brakes swap on my truck, I looked on rock auto, bought the oem cables for the caliper application and shortened them myself to fit the stock c-10 intermediate cable, then sent the cables off to i believe it was https://push-pull.com/custom-cables-brakes/
and they simply put a new crimped on end for the cable. while its not off the shelf, it was cheap and a very simple solution. clint

Re: parking brake cable recomendation
Collecting the parts right now for my setup and have the Cadillac calipers on my 66. Info I found on POL was that the cable housing length is 34.7” and cable length is 43.6” for the conversion cables. The part number on POL is EBC6387X, 2 cables are $103 so I am still looking for another option. Dimension of the cables that were on my truck are housing 30.5” and cable is 40.25”. They are just a couple inches too short for me to hook to the caliper.

Re: parking brake cable recomendation
On my 67 with a 9.5 14 bolt I used Camaro rear disc. I used the Camaro cables from Rock auto. Placed/fitted the frame mount then used the cable couplings from Rockauto. If I had to do again I would just leave the drums. But for the intermediate cable I used 1/8 inch stranded cable (TSC), drilled an eighth inch hole in about 1/2 inch length of 5/16 inch solid rod. Squeeze them with a crimp tool then put a hot mig spot on the ends.
Turned my orig emergency brake into a parking brake. To pass Texas inspection I had to depress brake pedal then apply hand brake lever to pass in gear idle.
