Slip yoke question
I installed ridetech’s bolt in rear 4 link. Everything is “preset” according to ridetech when it comes to the link bars and all the factory holes are used for brackets. Some how my driveshaft is sitting further back than before. They said they have no clue how that happened. All my measurements matched up to what they say it should be but somehow the slip yoke, at aired out or up, is an inch or so out of the transmission now.
My question…is this okay? If not, can i just buy a longer slip yoke? 700r4 trans |

Looks closer to 2''. Where do the tires sit in the wheel well?

I think a longer yoke would work ok and definitely cheaper than lengthening your driveshaft or buying another one. If this is a high dollar truck I would probably invest in the perfect driveshaft.

Wheels are centered in the wheel wells. Years ago, i switched from a turbo350 to the 700r4 and shortened the driveshaft I believe. It’s been awhile so hard to remember. If a yoke is the quick and easy, that’s the route I’ll go for now.

2" of engagement is recommended at minimum. But I see 1 times the output shaft diameter recommended as well at minimum. As I understand, more splines are stronger.
Not the amount of engagement. On axles there is 1" or less into the carrier. Personally, if I had 2" or more inserted. I would run it. Guessing most would want to spend more money and get reveal to 1".

Did check motor sitting in the cradle low with 3 bolt per side motor sitting high in the cradle and if the mounts. There about 1-1/2 to 2" if high move the motor back down next set of holes with small block.
