Re: Hood insulation
Popeyestruck
I think it’s a good question and thought. I was kind of thinking the same things about sound pad on hood and wondering what people use. I ended up using about 5 gallons of this stuff to coat the entire inside of the cab and underside of the cab and also the inside of all four fenders: https://www.secondskinaudio.com/soun...pectrum-liquid I really like the way it sprayed on. I bought the sprayer that comes with it. Turns out, I accidentally hit “two” when I ordered it and I got another 5 gallons. I didn’t think I needed. I’m going to use some of that on the other side of the hood once I’m sure it’s straight and bodyworked. Website says good to 400° and they’ll be tons of room because my engine is way down in the bay. It is like black rubber. Makes the metal panels sound like a dull thump so it will help with sound mainly but also heat I guess? |
