Re: New project : 72 Suburban

The last couple of months the Suburban has gone through yet more changes under the hood. The old combination which made the LS look like an old school big block was just not working bc of the size and weight of the vehicle. So I took all of that off and drug out the stock 6.0 intake and TB from under the workbench. Removed the stock injectors and replaced them with a set of 50# truck injectors from GM and bought a cheap CAI from Amazon. That was just what the doctor ordered. We are currently cleaning up the tune and so far it runs better than it ever has. Now I am in the process of cleaning up and painting the stock LS components that I installed back on the engine. Valve covers and coil packs are cleaned up and painted and some of the wiring is tucked away where it belongs. Today my engine/coil pack covers from Special Ops Motorsports came and I managed to get the pieces fitted and painted. Next up is to remove the intake and get it painted while the covers are being pinstriped. More updates to follow. I am hoping to have this project wrapped up for the 4th of July show I plan on attending.

Re: New project : 72 Suburban

These are the pieces I put together for my engine/coil cover kit. Engine cover, with mess insert for the holes which isnt installed yet. The coil covers and brackets. And a custom logo for the engine cover ( LS/C20) ... The pic of the engine cover painted would not upload for some odd reason.

Glad you are finally getting it dialed in. The trim pieces will look good!

Check the size of your engine cover picture. It may need to be sized down some. I usually size mine down to 1150 pixels wide for the board.
