Door Jam Shims
For those of you who take the top off of your Blazer, how tight are your door jam striker plates?

Re: Door Jam Shims
Fairly tight. When I open the door, I need to give it a slight bump with my shoulder.
It took quite a while to get the right shim pack thickness. Too thick and the door is too difficult to open, and too thin the door will rattle. |

Re: Door Jam Shims
Ahhh, the old shoulder bump, I'm well acquainted with that maneuver!
My doors have just a bit of drag on them, top has been off for 20+ years.

Re: Door Jam Shims
Thanks, that’s where I’m at. My driiver’s door needs a shoulder bump and my passenger door is rattling. I’ve got some more shims ordered.
