Bought awhile back.
It's been a while since I've touched my project. I bought it a while back but haven't had much time to work on it lately. I really need to start messing with it again.
One thing I'm stuck on is the wiring situation. It's all kinds of messed up and I need to find a good wire harness to get it sorted out. This thing has a 454 engine with a 350 transmission. Do you have any recommendations for a wire harness that would work well with this setup? I'd appreciate any advice you can give me on getting the wiring squared away so I can make some progress on this project. its a 1972 blazer 2wd, with a 454 |

Re: Bought awhile back.
Does it have the original harness in place?
Does it have HEI ignition? Pictures of the fuse box and Under hood wiring would be helpful.

Re: Bought awhile back.
what is the issue with the wiring?
I would start by downloading and printing the wiring diagrams found here. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=185856 That will help identify which wires you need to look for to solve problems. If it's all hacked up, you may want to consider a new harness. You can get separate harness components such as the engine harness and front lamp harness that will plug right into the bulkhead connector at the fire wall and replace all the hacked up wiring under the hood.

Re: Bought awhile back.
Best purchase I have made for my blazer was my American autowire upgrade kit! It solved all of my electrical issues and was a superb kit. I was nervous to install it but it was not bad with the detail that they put into the kit. The wires with labels every foot was fantastic! I am a normal dude and do not work for them or anything. Just a happy customer. I bought it on Amazon too.

100% worth the money. My OE wiring was so screwed and the firewall bulkhead was like melted or something. |

Re: Bought awhile back.
I put a new motor in mine. Every wire I looked at was horrible. Then I noticed wire nuts and it was time to abandon all wires anyone else had touched.

Cool Blazer, neat flames and darling co-pilots. Good luck with the wiring. I'm no help in that department - I'd just have to go one wire at a time.
