Not that this makes a difference for your particular installation, but on my LS install, I made sure I could actually pull the heads off without having to pull the motor. I'd do the same in your case - just make sure it is actually "serviceable."

Good idea. Once I have the cab in place I will make sure I have enough clearance to pull it apart. I do have a build thread but am embarrassed about it. I started this build years ago and than let it sit. Now I have retired and am determined to get the truck completed.
