That was the situation ''White Fang*'' was in after I tried bolting a Saginaw Power Steering gearbox onto my '67 K/10 frame. The PO of the '69 Panel Truck I took the assembly off of, had used oversized nuts, welded to the frame to offset the P/S gear. I mirrored that set-up, but the o/s nut-spacers were not welded. I thought the biggest issue was the C/10 Pittman Arm swung Left to Right. The K/10 manual gearbox Pittman Arm swung down-forward and up-back. Totally different geometry. When I tried to restore it back to Manual Steering, the Drag Link had been hacked, and afterward steering it was still very clunky.

[On restoration, the cure may be to bolt on a 1971 MY- or later Dana 44 Front End with P/S and Disc Brakes.]

*White Fang is a '67 K/10 Suburban [454/TH350/NP205/3.73 Posi] rig that I ran hard from 1993 to 1998, when I had a carb fire on location out-of-state.
Foolishly I made a claim on my auto insurance. They low-balled me, and Totalled it, issuing a Salvage Title.
Now it's a back lot ghost. ''Someday'' I will restore it. Perhaps if I ever retire.
But I won't be rebuilding a gas guzzling BBC 454.
