PS not working unless RPM is up
Power Steering not working at idle. Up the RPM and it works. Any Ideas
HELP

Shooting from the hip with a WAG, Wild @ss Guess, but my thought are an air pocket.
Curious to find out what the more knowledgable people on the board say.

That would be my guess also, but not sure really unless it is a pump issue

I've had an issue with the stock pumps turning larger tires - not sure if that is the case or not with you.
I drained and put in some expensive synthetic fluid and it worked.

you may have to monkey with the pressure relief spring
google it....you can increase the pressure pump may be worn as well

Lucas makes some PS stop leak stuff. I think it has other good things it does.
I'd buy some of that first. It won't take very much. Try 2-3 ounces, see what happens. |

Was it working before and this just happened out of the blue?
Have you been doing anything with the system, pump, hoses, connections, steering box? Is there any evidence of leaking fluid? Were you driving and have any type of incident?
