Lowering a 94 Yukon GT 4x4
I did do a search and it didn't come up with much.
I had a 2wd 1980 Jimmy back in the mid-90s and I regret ever selling it. Recently I got the bug to get back into something similar and figure the Tahoe/Yukon is the way to go. As everyone knows, 2dr 2wd is pretty rare so I have been looking at 4wd. I have found the above mentioned Yukon GT and want to get it closer to the ground. A thread on another forum leads me to believe that an axle flip for the back and drop keys for the front will get it closer the ground. Reading through here, I am getting the impression that will not work. Which is it? Thanks in advance! |

Ive seen folks lower them, but from what I remember the whole process. . I belive like you said axle flip.in back, but don't remember the front part. Persons i know drove them for years. I was told you can't slam like the 2wd but you can get it down.

One of my buddies has an 90 1/2 ton short bed k1500 that he got lowering shackles for and then just basically lowered the torsion bars till the front control arms were on the bump stops. Hes driven it that way for 3-4 years now so it must be working.

99 Tahoe 4wd. How low you want to go? Flip kit, adjustable keys on 22 wheels. Yep, can be done my friend.
