Pick a Car
One is like cheatn, try to keep it at two choices each. Seems the poll function doesn't allow for limited selections, unless it's one.
I left off Cheetah and Cobra, seems they'd fall under another class.

Re: Pick a Car
If that mopar had been a 440 barracuda it would have gotten my vote. As it was, I went with the Pontiac as that is my favorite version of the trans am.

Re: Pick a Car
Exactly! That Trans Am was the first one I drove and fell in love with. There were 2 blue with white stripe cars in the county and one of my buds owned one of them.

Re: Pick a Car
With the Trans Am I had to include a 73 Formula HO455.
Or a 69 GTO. Or a nice little Alfa race car. Or my buddy Robert's Challenger. So many choices so little cash!

I like that red one in the second pic. But I don’t see any trucks. So I’ll spectate…

Re: Pick a Car
I'm a sucker for a tri five, since we have a 55 and a 56 in the garage currently and then a sucker for a first gen since my first car was a 68 Camaro, still own it too. Yenko was always the dream car for sure.

Poll showing no love for the Mustang Ha ha, Ford. Just kidding, Ford made great looking bodies. I had a 69 Torino GT. No rust. Paid $700, sold it for $450, but that was a LONG time ago. I'm surprised how much TA are appreciated. My favorite car overall, but I had to run with the split window, and can't deny a Yenko Camaro.

Re: Pick a Car
I'd love to build a 69-70 Mustang but rusty nasty stuff brings silly money.

Re: Pick a Car
Them Trans Am are looking good.
I'd take a 67 Z28 with the four wheel disc, might be difficult though if I recall only like 7 were made. I really would like to have 67 RS SS Camaro one day. |

Re: Pick a Car
Back in the mid-80's, I was car shopping, and I needed to get something rapidly. The seller I ended up buying from had two cars for sale, the 55 Chevy post car, which was turn-key, or a 63 Split, but it was in primer, with no glass of weatherstrips (though he had them OEM in the bags/boxes).
The Belair was $5k, the Corvette $16k. In retrospect, I should have bought both.

Some 67s could have been converted with the kit in 68, but the original 602 67 Z/28's had drum brakes on the rear. Here is the info on the brake systems on the Camaro from the main restorers group. http://camaros.org/suspen.shtml#Brakes

Re: Pick a Car
I put Yenko Camaro but I would much rather have a Yenko Nova with a big block that thing would fly. My other choice would be a 73 SD 455 Formula
