Absolutely. I've put 40k miles literally across country and any kind of roads you can think of and have yet to have an issue with my 255/40s. Hell I just drove across Atlanta and back today with their pothole and manhole cover filled roads with no issue other than some loose teeth

I've done some Atlanta road time.
Atlanta def gets my vote for 'speed x complexity' transportation engineering fails but I'd still wager Dallas is worse 'road quality' wise.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Huck's 85 GMC shorty

guys.. thanks for the input! I appreciate it. I guess I will look into replacing my fronts with the 255-40's. Just not sure what to do with my current less than 1k mi. tires now? ...

Sell them. You might take a loss but it is what it is.

For sure. I've done my fair share of DFW driving and it's definitely worse
