1970 Chevrolet C20 Pickup - Starter Solenoid Wire Connector

Hi,

I am looking into getting the wire connector for the wire that connects to the solenoid. The truck is 1970 Chevrolet C20, 3/4, 5.7. It has 3 wires that connect to the solenoid. It is one of the two smaller wires. One has an "S" next to it and the other has an "8" next to it. It is the wire that connects next to the "8". For what gauge should I buy the wire connector?

Appreciate the help.

S connector (inside closest to block) is for cranking the engine. It is 12g and purple. The outside smaller connector is yellow and 16g. This wire goes to the coil + terminal. The large center one of course is the battery cable and should be 2g. Both of the smaller starter studs are 10-32 and the large post is 3/8-16

I'm going to guess that the solenoid has some dirt and/or grease on it. The "8" terminal should say "R". KW nailed the sizes.

Thanks, appreciate the help. I now see the "R".

For purchasing the wire connector for the outside smaller connector (near R, yellow, 16g), is there a type and size that I should look for? I went to try to look for one, but wasn't sure which one to get.

The original connector was a ring terminal like this.
