1989 C30, power window circuit breaker location
I need to try replacing this to get my windows to work, but haven't found any useful info about where it is located on the truck. All help appreciated.
Thanks Mitch |

Re: 1989 C30, power window circuit breaker location
Here's a copy/ paste from co-pilot.
The power windows in your 1989 C30 don’t use a fuse; instead, they rely on a circuit breaker due to the high draw of the window motors. The circuit breaker for the power windows is labeled as #47, and it can be found in the smart box or under the hood fuse box1. Unfortunately, the 30 amp breaker cannot be reset; if it’s faulty, it needs to be replaced. If a new one also pops, there might be a short to ground in the power window circuit. Additionally, check the blu/black power wire coming from the rubber boot in the door, as it’s a known issue in the 2003 Ford Explorer2. Hopefully, this information helps you troubleshoot the issue with your power windows! 😊 Hope this helps.
