The shroud needs to create 3/4 inch or more of space between fans and rad and should seal reasonably well against all 4 edges. You could start by installing fans directly to the rad, find out if that is good enough. If not add a shroud. I have no idea if any of this would work for you but those fans I posted work with shroud, an original 4 row rad and a BBC for me. HTH -Kevin
