anyone with 17" sliver 55 rallys on there stock height. c10?

I'm at the point of getting rims and tires now and don't what to go to 5 lugs, so with wilwood disc brakes up front and stock height. I'm having to go to 16, or 17 rims. Not a lot of rims to pick from. Is anyone running the sliver 55 rallys in 17 on there c10? Is there any issues running 17 on a 68 stepside 2wd? my other choice is american racing 23 rims in 16"

Here is my 72 C10 at stock height with 255/60 17 tires and 17 x 8 Torque thrust 11's. Other picture is the truck with same wheel & tire combo and a 2 1/2 dropped spindle up front and 3 inch spring out back. The 17 inch tires are the same overall height as the normal 235/75 15 rims/tiresthat came on the truck.

This is the best I can do for now. The tires are 245/70-17

Re: anyone with 17" sliver 55 rallys on there stock height. c10?

I'm 2/3 done frame off restoring my 68 step, and I'm leaving at stock height with 15" rally's. I put 31" BFG All Terrain T/A's on it, which not only looks awesome, like a slightly lower 4x4, but the taller tires seem to work well with my 4.11 gears also. Loving it so far. I looked at lowering it, but the rear lowered coil springs are thinner and ride quality suffers. Makes it pretty much useless as a truck, so I'm leaving it stock. But that's another thread entirely. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

I am using US Mags white wagon wheels 17x8 on all 4 with 265/70x16 tires. Stock height longbed.
