I've noticed that some kids gravitate more to what they can relate to. At 12, he might not be able to picture himself driving around in a full size truck, but that little car might look like fun to a 12 year old.

I used to take my Trans Am to shows and I would wonder why the younger kids would come along the side and look in the back window. I finally figured out that they were seeing if there was room for them in there, i.e. a back seat - "Dad, we could get one of these!"
Not sure what the show was called. It was downtown Arlington with around 7 blocks and some side streets packed with cars.

Most kids (not all) have a different view on cars and trucks than way back when I was their age. Much different time today.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Started the oil pan replacement on my Tacoma . We will see how the might as well while it’s apart goes . A nice lift kit would be nice I am definitely replacing the front axles and hubs since I need to remove the axles anyway to drop the front differential. It just about ready to come out but it got too hot to keep working . Guess I should replace the serpentine belt

Washed the Chevelle since I couldn’t work on the Tacoma . Paint still looks good after 30 years

It would look better if it were parked in my garage.

I'd say you got your money's worth out of that serpentine belt.

Slab for the boiler getting closer. July 5th is the pour. High 90's today, sweating like a pig, but had fun! This is what it's going to look like.

Hmm. So, does it have a timing belt or chain?

I love NY . State passed a law that you need to have factory exhaust on vehicles to pass inspection. Cars and trucks the station are letting them slide a little as long as it not excessive. Bikes they won’t even look at them if they are aftermarket . Glad I kept the originals for my bikes . Now my bikes aren’t super loud nice rumble down low but as soon as the station sees the pipes it’s a no go

I'd be screwed in my state, if they did that. All my bike have aftermarket exhausts and I do not have any of the stock stuff.
