4 speed to 205 questions

I’m changing my 68 Rockwell out to a 205. Do I just need the adapter for the 205 to the 4 speed? Will I need a different transfer case shifter itself? I have a couple laying around just not sure which one I would need to use.

Does your 68 still have the SM420 transmission?

Re: 4 speed to 205 questions

I'd guess the shifter would need to change and that much depends on what the 205 TC came out of. Not enough info to answer the questions.

To answer the question YES, you will need the 205 shifter, pivot bolt, link and connector plate that pins to the shift rails.
