Hello from Alaska

Hi folks,
Currently trying to put together a 292 engine (all the big stuff purchased) for my 68 k20 firewood truck. Look forward to advice as I try to locate weird stuff like that oddball 292 crossmember. Pulling the 327 chevy next week.

Other projects:
68 c10 stepside shorted

72 k5 blazer

Re: Hello from Alaska

Where abouts in the interior? I’ve been to MgGrath and Nicolai. What a beautiful place.

Re: Hello from Alaska

Jerry, the orange k5 was sprayed with some sort of undercoating. So the rear of the frame, where the undercoating has weather cracked, looks like fresh frame paint! Frame is in phenomenal shape.

68Bowtie,
I live way out of town, but closest place is Delta Junction. Nothing rusts in interior. No salt on roads and things can't rust when they're frozen for 6 months of the year. Lotta old iron stays solid. Very little rainfall in non frozen months.
