I usually go, but I am passing this year. The whole fairgrounds is tore up and as of 2 days ago, it was an absolute mess. Hopefully it is straightened out in time for the show.

That’s going to be an issue. And it’s not the “whole” fairgrounds. They posted an announcement because some guy made a video and over dramatized it all. It’s all going to be stopped and cleaned up before the show. It has to be, because the fair itself starts right after the Good Guys show.

Here’s the Statement that Goods Guys posted about the video and construction

Comment from good guys.

Everyone take a deep breath. The construction will not affect the event. There will be no construction during the event. There are no potholes, nails in the road, or gravel roads that anyone will have to drive on. Two areas of the event are closed off from public access, but again will not affect the event. The cruising lane has been adjusted but still maintains the same route. We have worked closely with the Ohio Events Center, who have their fair the weekend after our event, to make sure the facility is in good condition to hold an event. Do not let this video scare you away. It is all under control. Please do not let this stop you from enjoying your time at the 26th Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG. Don't let a video title scare you from attending.

Yeah, I think he blew it a bit out of proportion, but it is YouTube. On the other hand, there is a lot torn up and buildings missing with a lot of pipes etc. sitting around. You'll know in a short while!

Re: Good Guys Columbus Ohio

Lots of vintage trucks at registration pick up today. I knocked out 200+miles, with 67. Nothing fell off....

Long way at 40mph..

2pics of National Trails ... spectator side looks like a track ready to be sold for housing.

Lots of Trucks.... every style you can imagine.got in about 7:30a.m.

Literally insane numbers of trucks. Didn't even come close to walking 20% of show vehicles.

Re: Good Guys Columbus Ohio

Leaving around 6am, 2.5 hrs drive for me. Haven't been since 21 try to go every year. I always get my money's worth for what I see the show, vendors, entertainment and seeing or meeting folks is well worth it.

First and last 3 5mi of trip (my road) is plain brutal. Heavy equipment arriving for oil well pad. It's a wonder nothing started leaking.

My clutch fan is not working in traffic. Other than that, runs 175-190. Highest was 200 in construction area by Pataskala.

Our group that is at SETN is considering going to this show next year . Would be a lot closer for me 575 miles as apposed to 910. Do that in one day
