I used these mounts on my 62 that I think came from porterbuilt. I had to trim the width of the mount to line up with the bottom mount. I can a picture of the finished shock set up later tonight. Hope this helps.

Re: 62 rear shock mount and brake questions!

I altered the existing mounts. I determined their location buy taking the springs out and bottoming the suspension, then compressing the shock and see where the mount needed to go. Bumpstops keep the shocks from making contact.

These pictures are before being fully welded.

the upper shock mounts are from no limit engineering and the rear shocks are CCP 4052G for lowered trucks

Re: 62 rear shock mount and brake questions!

Here are some photos of my rear shock mounts. I didn't have a specific location for the mounts. I wanted the shocks to be further forward from the original location so that they were not at the angle when stock. In the photo of the inside of the frame (Last Photo) you can see where I used a step bit to open the holes large enough to get a deep socket in to tighten the nuts on the back side of the mount. I also made a gusset for that portion of the frame. I'm not sure it was needed but I wanted to be sure.
If you have any questions, you can send me a PM. Post a picture of your truck
