Need help on mounting door handles
Any of the members have a door handle templet and/or can explain a simple way to use it in the correct manner. I used mine and drilled two small guide holes in my panel (the handle will cover those holes), but I can see where they will not line up with the base nuts. I had to measure these wrong. Any help appre. I've either cut the templet wrong or started with a bad measure and it went downhill from that point.

Re: Need help on mounting door handles
I had a similar experience installing the handle on the passenger side. I had an original template and lined it up the way I thought was correct, drilled and then found out the holes didn't line up. What I did was put a couple of bolts through the captive nuts from the backside and let them protrude slightly towards the door panel. A dab of grease on the ends of the bolts and then installed the door panel with a couple of the top screws. This gave me a couple of grease marks on the inside of the panel as a guide for drilling the holes. Hope this helps!
